Iranian ‘The Eleventh Step’ competing in South Korea

Iranian animation ‘The Eleventh Step’ is competing at the 2020 Indie-AniFest in South Korea.

Iranian animation ‘The Eleventh Step’ has been competing at the 16th edition of the Korea Independent Animation Film Festival (Indie-AniFest) in South Korea.

Making the animation, the director Maryam Kashkoulinia was inspired by a book with the same title written by Sousan Taqdis.

Although the animation targets 7-12 year-old children, the director believes that it has a lesson for the adults too.

‘The Eleventh Step’ focuses on the themes of freedom and captivity.

The animation indirectly persuades children to try more.

Watching the animation, the child learns he can gain marvelous results by taking one more step forward.

The Indie-AniFest aims to provide the audience with independent animations from Asia and Korea.

The 16th edition of the festival is set for September 17-22 and Kashkoulinia’s animation has been scheduled to be screened on September 19 and 20.
